Privacy policy

How BLANIK collects, uses and protects your information across Flight Club, Logbook, Landing and Fleet.

Effective 23 October 2026 · Version 1.0

1. Who we are

BLANIK is operated by ITTesla (“BLANIK”, “we”, “us”), based in Australia. We are responsible for the personal information processed through blanik.timeline.events and the BLANIK apps: Flight Club, Logbook, Landing and Fleet. You can reach us at info@ittesla.com.

This policy applies to this website, to the BLANIK apps, and to any information we receive when you sign in with a Google account.

2. What we collect

  • Account. Your email address, an optional username, your name and your sign-in credentials. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes by our authentication provider. If you sign in with Google, see section 3.
  • Logbook. The flights you record (aircraft, airfields, take-off and landing times, landings, launches, notes) and the papers you add, such as licences, ratings and medicals.
  • Flight Club. Your club membership, duties, intentions to fly and the club flights recorded for you.
  • Landing. Your competition registration, class, team, aircraft, start order, results and any entry payments the organiser records.
  • Fleet. Listings you publish, including photos, price and location at the precision you choose.
  • Contact messages. Your name, email address and message when you write to us.
  • Technical data. Device and browser type, IP address and service logs, used to keep the apps secure and working.

3. Google sign-in and Google user data

You can create an account or sign in with your Google account. When you do, Google asks you to approve sharing with BLANIK. We request only the basic sign-in scopes openid, email and profile, and the following data from your Google account:

  • your email address;
  • your name;
  • your profile picture, if you have one; and
  • a unique Google account identifier, so we can recognise you the next time you sign in.

How we use it. We use this data only to create your BLANIK account, sign you in, show your name and picture inside the apps, and contact you about your account. We do not read, access or store anything else from your Google account, such as your Gmail, Drive, Calendar or contacts.

How we share it. We do not sell Google user data. We do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed in section 6 that run BLANIK for us, and we do not use it for advertising, including personalised or retargeted advertising. Nobody at BLANIK reads it except where you ask for support, where it is needed for security, or where the law requires it.

Limited Use. BLANIK's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

How we protect and delete it. The data is stored in our database, encrypted in transit and at rest by our provider, with row-level security rules so each person can read only their own account. You can delete your account in the apps or by writing to info@ittesla.com; we then delete the Google-derived data as described in section 8. You can also withdraw BLANIK's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

4. Why we use information

  • To provide the apps you sign up for and keep your records (performance of our agreement with you).
  • To protect accounts, prevent abuse and fix faults (our legitimate interest in a secure service).
  • To answer messages you send us.
  • To meet legal obligations, where they apply.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Who can see it

  • Your logbook is private to you. It becomes public only if you switch on your public page, and only the parts you choose to share.
  • Clubs you join see the membership, duty and flight information needed to run the club.
  • Competition organisers see your registration. Start lists, results and standings are public, as is usual for sporting events.
  • Fleet listings are public, with the location shown at the precision you set.
  • Your email address and Google account data are never shown to other users unless you choose to publish them.

6. Service providers

We use trusted providers to run BLANIK, and they process information only on our instructions:

  • Supabase for the database, sign-in and file storage;
  • Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps to serve the websites and apps;
  • Google for “Sign in with Google”, and for the Google Maps service used to show maps and search for places; and
  • an email delivery service to send account emails such as sign-in links.

Where information is transferred outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

7. Cookies and storage

We use only what the apps need to work: keeping you signed in, remembering your theme and language, and storing a copy of the pages you last opened on your device so they open instantly. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When you close your account we delete or anonymise it within 30 days, including any data received from Google, except published competition results and records a club or the law requires us to keep. Backups are overwritten on their normal cycle.

9. Your rights

You can ask to access, export, correct or delete your information, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Many of these you can do yourself in the apps; otherwise write to info@ittesla.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are in Australia you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au; if you are elsewhere, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children

BLANIK is meant for people aged 16 and over. Younger pilots may use it with the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

11. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above, and tell you in the apps or by email when the change is significant.

12. Contact
